TEST 1

2 December 2007: Vocabulary test on theme 1 (Use your head). Study the following:

1) Two articles âMore children should be sent to grammars to tackle dire education systemâ and âLabour`s school reforms haven`t helped the poorâ + the exercises I had prepared

2) Unit 1 from Focused on Advanced English (pp. 10-22) Homework exercises.

3) Unit 7-12 (pp. 32-43 All exercises (those I gave for homework and additional exercises which were not for homework)

The format will be similar to what you are used to (matching, clozures, providing synonyms, understanding idioms, and using words in sentences, vocabulary in context.

Time: 30 min.
Marks: 30

TEST 2

16 December 2007: Vocabulary test on theme 2 (Severe weather conditions. Study the following:

1) Article titled âEurope reels from sizzle to swampâ + the exercises I had prepared

2) Unit 2 from Focus on Advanced English (pp. 23-35) Homework exercises.

The format will be similar to what you are used to (matching, clozures, providing synonyms, understanding idioms, and using words in sentences, vocabulary in context.

Time: 30 min.
Marks: 30

I am leaving Poland on 17 December 2007. Therefore both tests need to finalized before my departure.
